Running List of Tolmia watch bracelets

One of the main goals of this site is to create a running list of all watches that have a tolmia bracelet.  The definition of a tolmia bracelet is any watch bracelet that utilizes a tool-less micro-adjustment system.  Here is a running list of tolmia watch bracelets that I have found by scouring the internet.  I hope you will let me know if I am missing any.  (I generally have not listed fashion brands)

Unless stated otherwise, all watches listed below are available as new on January 13, 2024.* Watches with a "?" after their listing means that I have read about it but have not seen independent confirmation.

  1. I have a Doxa 200, I sized the bracelet with screws on the BOR, but it does not seem to have any micro adjustment.

    1. Thanks, I removed the 200s. I must have had errant information.

  2. Not sure about the Huldra, but the Aevig Balaur has a fairly nice tool-less micro adjust.

  3. I think Christopher Ward C63 Sealander Automatic also has such clasp (can't confirm myself). At least the feature sheet on their website mentions "...micro-adjustable ratchet clasp and quick-release system for easy changing".

    1. Thanks for the kind words, Wander.

I've updated the Mido listing and the Citizen Atessa CB-0210 listing. I haven't added the BN0100-51e because I couldn't find it anywhere on line, and I'm trying to list only watches available for sale.

    1. Thanks Beans & Bezels. First time I've heard about some of these. Definitely good info on the Tudor. Nomos is a bit weird as it's actually a toolless springbar in in that spot. If I can't verify something online easily, I usually wait for 2-3 people to confirm if it's not on the company's website or I can't find confirmation easily online.

So if anyone else can confirm the 56, I'll take away the "?" after the listing.

As for the Pioneer, these look like they are all on straps.

      Thanks again.

    3. @Anthony blogger - Thanks for the heads up about the Avalon II! I looks really interesting.

Beans and Bezels - I contacted VC and they mentioned that the 56 does NOT include an adjustable clasp.

  7. The Omega Speedmaster Chronoscope also has has an adjustable clasp! This one is more discrete but only offers two positions like the easylink. You can retrofit this clasp on a moonwatch, which is what I did.

  8. What an excellent idea this site is. Thank you!

Wanted to add a few more to the list:

Zelos recently released the Spearfish with the micro-adjustment in the clasp.

A new brand called Arken released the Instrumentum which has a titanium ratcheting clasp.

Also, funnily enough, Scurfa's older bracelet used to have a similar on-the-fly ratcheting clasp, but no longer. Thought it might be worth mentioning though, just in case someone picks up a used one!

Aftermarket Tolmia Watch Clasps and Buckles

There are a few others in the watch community besides me who are clamouring for more tolmia watch bracelets (watch bracelets that allow for a micro-adjustment without the need of a separate tool).  I have a running list of tolmia watches, but I thought it would be helpful to let you know about where you can find aftermarket tolmia watch clasps and buckles.  Here is what I have found so far: Amazon Ratchet buckle diver extension clasp Carlywet Solid Curved End Stainless Steel Screw Links Wrist Watch Band Bracelet Glide Flip Lock Clasp Esslinger? Definition of "tolmia"

It occurred to me that it would be helpful to have a definition for the word "tolmia".  So here is my first crack at it.   Tolmia is an adjective used to describe any watch band, strap, or bracelet that can be adjusted, on a repeatable basis, through the use of a built in mechanism, in increments of 5mm or less.  A tolmia band, strap, or bracelet may not utilize a traditional tang and pin buckle, velcro, or a milanese sliding buckle. A tolmia band, strap, or bracelet may adjust on the clasp or the buckle.  While most common and useful on a metal bracelet, a tolmia watch and include watches that utilize other material to attach the watch to a person's wrist.  The derivation of tolmia comes from a combination of the words "tool-less" and "micro-adjustable". Tolmia should be pronounced: Tōl mē-ə I will attempt to maintain a running list of watches with tolmia bracelets .
